After looking for a cheap option for printing barcodes I was advised to try this brother printer. To say I was surprised by the features available for such a cheap product is an understatement. Although I purchased this to print bar codes I have now used this for address labels as well. Another advantage is the fact that it comes with software so no additional costs there. With a large selection of labels available I think makes this printer suitable for a wide range of applications, a great investment for those on a tight budget. 19th Nov, 2011

Is this a colour printer?

The QL range of printers produce a black only print.  This is because they use "direct thermal" print technology.  The label material has a heat sensitive coating which turns black when it passes the printhead of the printer.  There is no ink used in these printers, therefore no choice on the print colour.

Can i use it to print paypal postage labels?

PayPal will only print A4 labels, you can however copy and paste your information into the label template when using the QL range of printers to produce a label of your choice.
