The LabelManager 220P portable label maker is unusual in that its QWERTY keyboard has been shaped to facilitate typing with your thumbs. The large LCD displays your label exactly how it will look when printed, and quick access buttons allow special symbols and accented characters to be included speedily. There are 6 font sizes and 6 formatting styles which, in addition to the base font, give you bold, italic, shadow, outline, mirror, and vertical text.

There are also 8 border styles for placing a box around your text to improve its appearance. Battery life is protected by an auto-power off function when the printer is dormant. You can print fixed or variable length labels of up to 2 lines of text on labels up to 12mm wide. These labels may be of standard, permanent or flexible material. A memory stores up to 9 labels and frequently used text phrases. With such versatility and easy keyboard navigation there remains no excuse for an untidy workplace.

I like the portability of the 220P model. We regularly bring this out into the field and with airports being the way they are, it is not easy to fit everything into our tool bags. It is also handy that they use the same tape as many other Dymo labelmakers so that our current stock of tape work with both.
