  4. How To: Patch Panel - Brother P-Touch E550W

    In case you missed it, here is a step by step guide from the video:

    1. To produce patch panel labels, press the patch panel button and use the arrow buttons to navigate the settings.
    2. The settings you can adjust are: block length, number of blocks, separator style (border) and orientation.
    3. Once you've chosen the correct settings press the OK button.
    4. Now enter the data. Using the left and right arrow buttons you can jump between each block.
    5. Pressing the print button will print and cut a label that is the correct size to identify all your patch panel sockets.

    1. Click "Insert" and "Text" or drag the text option from the toolbar on the right
    2. The textbox will appear and you can start typing in in straight away
    3. If a textbox is not selected, click it to select and edit the text
    4. Select the text to change the font, style and style as you normally would in a word processor
    5. Drag a corner or edge to resize the textbox
    6. To align the text box go to "Layout", "Align" and choose one of the options displayed

  7. Fluorescent Brother TZe Tape

    I was looking through the selection of TZe tapes available and thought to myself, "I wonder what the fluorescent tapes look like under an ultra violet light", so I searched the web. Much to my disappointment I couldn't find a single image of what any of the TZe tapes looked like under a UV light. A few days later the UV torch we ordered turned up in the post. Below I have setup five tapes with their respective part numbers printed on them. The first one is the flexible version of the ever-so-popular 12mm black on white. I was curious to see what the white tape looks like under UV as some whites react to the light, but most do not. The second tape is the matte lime green which I thought looked like it might react well. The third label is the matte pink that once again, I thought this might glow beautifully. Label number four is the first of the two fluorescent tapes; orange. And lastly we have the fluorescent yellow.
