  1. Urgent Service Bulletin: Windows Update May Cause BarTender Printing Errors UPDATED

    Windows Updates that cause label printing problems for BarTender 10.1 and 2016. Microsoft has acknowledged this problem in the Known Issues section of the articles below:

    A new Windows security update appears to affect printing from BarTender. After installing the August 9 updates, some users have reported that BarTender will print 2–3 jobs successfully but will exhibit errors when it tries to print more. This issue appears to affect all versions of BarTender running on Windows 7 and later, or Windows Server 2008 R2 and later. The BarTender development team is working directly with Microsoft to investigate this issue and find a resolution. If you use BarTender in a production environment, be aware that installing the August 9 Windows updates may affect your ability to print reliably.     Terminology FAQs

    Q. What are die-cut labels?
    A. Die-cut labels, supplied on a roll, are self-adhesive labels which may be peeled off the backing paper individually, the gaps between them being detected by a sensor in the printer to maintain registration during lengthy print runs.

    A. This is label roll with a continuously printable surface which may be used to print labels of variable length, also enabling banners and signs to be produced.

    1. Click "Start Support Session" below to download the client.
    2. Open the downloaded file to get a "Client ID" number.
    3. Call a technician on 01202 681311 with your invoice address ready.
    4. Pass your "Client ID" number to the technician on the phone.
    5. Click "Accept" when prompted.
